Second Brain is a personal-memory app: you capture notes (text, voice, photos, with optional location) and ask about them later. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and the control you have. We keep it short and plain.

Only to provide the service: to store your notes, understand what they mean, and answer your questions about them. To do this, the content you send is processed by the AI providers below. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
What is sent to the AI providers, and when. When you save a note or ask a question, the content needed to answer it is sent over an encrypted connection to Anthropic and/or OpenAI: the text you wrote, and — for voice or photo notes — the audio or image itself. They process it only to understand your note and generate a response, then return it to us. Before your first note is processed, the app asks for your explicit consent to this AI processing; you can withdraw it at any time in Settings, and without it no note content is sent to these providers. These providers act as our processors under data-processing agreements that require them to protect your data with safeguards at least equivalent to ours, to use it solely to provide the service to us, and not to use it for their own purposes or to train their models for other customers. We do not sell your data.
Your notes are stored for as long as your account exists, isolated per user. You can delete any note — or your entire account and all its content — at any time from within the app. Deletion is permanent. A copy of your data is available on request by email.
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or object to certain processing. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Data is encrypted in transit. Each user’s data is isolated so one account cannot read another’s. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Second Brain is not directed at children under 16 and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
