Terms of Use

Second Brain · Last updated 3 June 2026

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Gökhan Çelikkaya (“we”, “us”), the operator of the Second Brain app (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

This document also serves as the End-User License Agreement (EULA) for the App. We keep it short and plain.

1. Who can use Second Brain

You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract in your country (and at least the minimum age required by the App Store) to use the App. The App is not directed at children. By using it, you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

You can use Second Brain as a guest, or create an account with your email, Sign in with Apple, or Google. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Notes you capture as a guest stay on your device and are not synced across devices until you sign in.

3. Licence to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, and you may not reverse-engineer or attempt to extract its source code, except where the law permits.

4. Your content

5. Acceptable use

Please don’t misuse the App. In particular, don’t use it for anything illegal, don’t try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to it or our systems, and don’t use it to infringe anyone’s rights. We may suspend or terminate access that breaks these Terms.

6. Subscriptions (Second Brain Pro)

Second Brain is free to start. The free tier includes up to 5 text messages per day (text only, up to 500 characters each). Second Brain Pro unlocks unlimited capture, voice and photo notes, and the full set of features.

7. AI answers

Second Brain uses AI to organise your notes and answer your questions. AI can be wrong or incomplete, and answers are generated from what you have saved. Second Brain does not provide professional advice — please don’t rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or other professional decisions.

8. Changes to the App

We’re continually improving Second Brain, so features may change, be added, or be removed over time. We may also suspend the service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using the App at any time and can delete your account and its data from within the App (this is permanent). We may suspend or end your access if you materially break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) continue to apply after your use ends.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI answers will be accurate. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or content, arising from your use of the App. Keep your own copies of anything you can’t afford to lose.

12. Apple-specific terms

Because you download the App from Apple’s App Store, the following also apply:

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the App. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
